Launched in September 2011, the FdV Bachelor program is a pilot project of Paris Descartes University. It is an emanation of the Sorbonne Paris Cité Higher Education Research and Teaching Focus (Pôle de Recherche et d'Enseignement Supérieure, PRES,) whose program will continue to develop over the coming years.
The Bettencourt Schueller Foundation provides funding for the operations and innovative academic activities of the Frontiers in Life Sciences (FdV) Bachelor program, allowing it to host students as well as statutory and invited academic faculty at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research (Centre de Recherches Interdisciplinaires, CRI). Situated in the heart of Paris, the specifically dedicated premises of the CRI are organized to maximize interaction among scientific disciplines.
