FdV Bachelor admission

The FdV Bachelor program only accepts small groups of entering students (maximum: thirty) in order to be able to personally accompany them throughout the three years. Therefore, the FdV Bachelor program exercises a policy of admissions selection.

Selection criteria

The FdV Bachelor program is intended for candidates who:

- like to wonder, and to ponder questions
- are capable of taking initiatives
- are interested in the life sciences
- are motivated by the interdisciplinary aspect of FdV studies

The first criterion in selecting students is what motivates them to participate in the program. We consider motivation to be a talent, and as such, to be more important than course grades. Therefore, the selection criteria we apply aim to detect motivation, as well as the characteristics listed above in candidates, including non-academic criteria.

In addition, we think that social and cultural diversity in each entering class are essential for enriching the FdV experience. The admissions committee therefore takes social criteria into account.

Candidate applications

Candidates must file the online application form (in french)
For september 2012, the application deadline is May 25th 2012.

Candidates must include several documents with their applications:
Curriculum vitae, letters of recommendation, high school transcripts, etc...
It is highly advisable that they be assembled, scanned, and saved in the same file before filling out and sending the application form.

Attention! The above form is the only way you can file your application for the Frontiers in Life Sciences Bachelor program! Since this is a new bachelor program, it is not referenced in the French post-high school admissions repertory.

Calendar 2012

The admission selection process takes place in two steps: First, candidates file on-line applications. After examination of the applications, the admissions committee announces admissible (not admitted) candidates, who will be then be summoned for interviews. Finally, a definitive list of admitted candidates will be published.

On-line candidature registration: from the end of January to 25 May 2012
List of admissible candidates: end of May/early June 2012
